Had to put to sleep a 94-95 Cobra....

Coming back from the club around 1:00 in the morning on I-4 . I am doing 65 mph in the left lane, notice head lights fast approaching me. Couldn't tell what kind of car it was at the time , as he got closer i realized it was some type of mustang on my bumper. He flashed me to move over, i moved over , as he passed i noticed the cobra symbol and telling from his back lights i knew it was a 94-95 vintage cobra.

He continued to speed off , i wanted to play so i sped up beside him at 75 mph. He looks over at me and shakes his head and down shifts , i hit the gas as well. He pulls about a car and half infront of me, but the Max reels him effortlessly.
Now i am on his tail flashing him to move out of the way !

He doesn't move , so i move over into the middle lane again , neck and neck just cresting over tripple digits i pass him and leave him in my dust. Pulled 4 solid cars on him , he wasn't catching up and i wasn't gaining anymore,so i let off ,through the flashers on and he passed me screaming by with his middle finger up.

Oh well , i don't know why he felt bad....his car is fast, ......mine is just faster!

...

now I am very confused...

I thought those old cobras were faster than the new cobras? and I also thought that in terms of performance (highway or city) they were way out of maxima's league!

anyways and please do be careful... we have lost way too many people racing on streets/highways.

its sad for the mustang guy that he had to show you the finger! i wouldve just given a for a good fun race!

unless ofcourse you ****ed off a undercover cop on duty. not that that has happened to me before.

HAHAH... 94-95 Cobras only have about 265- 270, and there top end isn't at all that impressive.. You guys make them out to be some track/highway king! Now if it was a 98 and up Cobra, well this story wouldn't have such a nice ending to it.

You illegally did 50+ mph against a car that chose not to waste his 93 octane to play with you...

FYI, 1994-1995 Cobras have 240hp, weak gearing, and a 3450lbs weight. In the hands of a good driver they're 14.4-14.5s@96mph. In the hands of a normal driver driver then it's 14.6s@95mph. These Cobras aren't much to worry about. Now with better gears, cam, headers, x-pipe, etc then the Cobra would own most any NA Maxima around here.
