This probably sounds ghetto, but for those of us without a garage, esp. near work - what sort of Sunshade do you use to keep the sun off your dash and the temp in your car down?

Any recommendations for a type of sunshade or a place where I can buy one? I want one that will fit the Maxima windshield exactly.

I've found one on Courtesy Nissan for $45.00.

You might be able to find them at walmart just measure the space and then measure the sunshade.

 

That doesm't sound ghetto at all. I think it's very wise to have one. I like the fact that it helps to darken the interior for added security when parked (I have tinted windows) and reduce heat at the same time. Heck, I even use it on those infrequent occasions when my girl and I make out in the parking lot before work.

The one I have is not an exact fit, but fits the Max very well. I have a "Magic Shade"...you know, the ones that have two large circles with a spring-like wire inside that sort of pops out to shape. The shade itself is rectangular (material extends past the circles), and I'm able to tuck it all the way to the edges of the glass and still bypass the mirror. I think it only cost $8 at Wally World too. It's reflective silver on one side, black on the other, and folds down really small.
