Well Brett emailed me yesterday and he said that he's actually looking for someone with an aftermarket grille to take measurements off of. I guess he's not looking for someone to drive up there and have measurements taken off the stock grille.

Yeah that DOES look good, Blackbird. Is it hard to take off the grille to paint it?

The surround around the grill is the only part that is detachable from the bumper cover. In order to remove the grill off the cover you need to basically cut that whole section out- its like part off the bumper cover. When I had my front bumper repainted I had the shop paint the SE- black strip ( GXE and GLE have a chrome strip around the grill) and paint the grill at the same time. My AE lip spoiler was repainted also. Came out very nice- and didn't cost me a penny extra durring refinishing the bumper cover

why doesnt he try and create it like the ford f-series grills, where they mount to the existingg grill itself, with a type of clamg that goes behind the oem grill. saw it on the show trucks, from spike tv.

Blackbird, did you get your bumper cover repainted because of all the paint chips? I plan on getting that done after I finish school and pay the car off, which will happen at about the same time. I have lots of paint chips!

i recently wrecked my car and got a new front bumper comver (which includes the grill) and a new hood. The shop painted my grill black. It has grey trim around it too. It looks real good.
