Hi All,
I've got a 2000 GXE 5-speed and need to replace the ignition coil on #4.

I understand there has been some widespread problems with the coils on this model. Can anyone recommend where I can buy (other than at the dealer) a new coil, that is the improved version?
And if anyone knows the part # for the old, AND the new, that would be appreciated!

as far as i know, there are no aftermarket makers of the coils. the best places to get oem coils at a price better than local dealers would be to contact Dave Burnette @ 888-254-6060 or check this thread (first post) in 5th gen classifieds HERE . you may want to consider replacing all of them because it is almost a guarantee when one goes that the rest shortly follow. use high temp dielectric grease to coat the inside boot of the coil.
