Fine Maxima with Problems

Hey all,
I been a fan of maxima.org for a while, reading forums and such but now I decided to post. There are so many maxima fans here. It is a great car.

I have a beautiful 2000 Nissan Maxima in BV3 Blue Violet Color (Sky Blue)
I love the car. I am a full time student and a lover of maximas. I purchased this one for a pretty good deal in Pennyslvania. It is a GXE model. I will update with pics soon.

Some car information:
2000 Nissan Maxima (4 Sensors near radiator, told it is probobly California model)
85k Miles (Carfax shows New Jersey and Pennsylvania regs so I think highway milleage. The car is a beast.

I have the car since March. Since about 2 weeks after I bought the car, I had minor problems.

While the car was not fully warmed, when I am on a red light, about a 2 minute drive from my home, the car starts shacking. I look at the RPM and they are just going from 500 to 800ish and down again. I put it into neutral and gas. Problem goes away for a few days and then again and again and again.

Soon after I get a check engine light. took it to a shop, they ran a scanner and got the code P1320. The error on this code is:
Ignition Signal, Primary

Now, I live in brooklyn, new york and it is crazy expensive to do anything. I paid 100 bucks just for a ****ty diognostic. So I am trying to see if I can solve this problem with the help of you guys.

BTW we did run a test on teach coil.

Running from bottom 1-3 coils, the Ohm was as follows:
1.35 1.32 1.16 (Third one seems off)

Rear Coils:
1.26 1.25 1.10

Should I change all 6 coils?
I have already changed the spark plugs to NGK Irodium.
The car is very rough , and the check engine light goes on every 2-3 weeks.

It eats a lot of gasoline. In the city and the highway, It has eaten 15 gallons (before gasoline light goes on) and given out 215 miles.

I driven half highway half city. Gas is at 2.35 now.
Btw, I used 89 gas before, now I Use 93.

Thanks guys
Looking foward to a responce.

Its definitely the coils. And id replace all six since its too difficult to diagnose them individually and correctly. And the are probably all bound to go bad some time.

Hey
Do you also think the mpg is also being affected by the bad coils?

same code here and seems like same problems here too. So yes, it is most likely the coils. I'm getting a set some time next week. You can get them for $250 from a guy on this board. Go to classified section for 5th gens.

link HERE you may not want to hear this but ive seen a few members post up bad experiences with iridium plugs. some dont seem to have the problem but i would definately replace all 6 coils and go from there. if you dont have any more issues then you are good but if it keep stumbling or idling funny then get the iridiums out.

Just pm the guy before ordering to be sure he has them in stock. It says they are $240 but he raised the price some time after posting it. Good luck with the car!

I probobly will get the Irodiums out. Go with platinum.

I recently noticed that when i start my car, it gives off a very strong smell of gasoline. Wonder if its the plugs. Someone told me a while ago that the plugs might "run cold".

But copper does not last to long, or does it?
Reason why I got Irodium was that they say that it wont ever wear out.
