I just checked the NTSA website to check the fuel TSB that was just posted and this one came up too:

Service Bulletin Number: NTB99063B
Bulletin Sequence Number: 139
Date of Bulletin: 0008
NHTSA Item Number: SB613972
Make: NISSAN
Model: MAXIMA
Year: 2001
Component: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:IGNITION:ANTI-THEFT
Summary: A CONDITION MAY EXIST WHERE THE NISSAN VEHICLE IMMOBILIZER SYSTEM / NISSAN ANTI-THEFT SYSTEM WILL NOT ALLOW THE ENGINE TO START WITHOUT THE USE OF A REGISTERED IGNITION KEY. *TT

Did we know about this one yet? Or is it new too? I didn't see it on the Sticky TSB thread. I don't think I have this problem, but I'm not sure if anyone's complained about it recently, I've only been here a week or so

A couple of people have complained about this one - basically for whatever reason the chip in the key doesn't send a signal to the ignition (needs reprogramming) - thus the car won't start!
