All you peeps with body kits...
How did you install/get them installed?
Double sided tape only?
Rivets only?
Double sided tape + rivets?
Anything NOT to do?
I just got my Stillen rear valence and MT Lip back from the body shop - just got painted - and I want to know how you all fastened your kits...
Anyone with a write up, pics, experiences, etc., please chime in...
thanks.

as far as the rear valence is concerned, i would have tried to have that molded onto the bumper, but alas, what's done is done...you can do the same. double sided tape and some screws at each end and it wont' move. if you notice, once you mount them, it's hard for them to come off as is. screws just secure it, but it's already a snug fit once you mount it.
I agree with Polo that the front is cake. Just the two screws on each side + tape no problem. The back however is a biatch. I had the hardest time. Ended up taking back to the body shop 2 times to have it re-fitted.
the front lip is fairly easy to install since it pretty much secures itself. the screws at each end is all you really need. i added some 3m on the under side of the lip right where it meets the lower inlet just for good measure though.
the rear valence was less cooperative in my case. using just the double sided tape and two screws at each end resulted in sagging. in addition to the screws/3m i ended up using liquid cement (can't remember what type) where the valence meets the bumper on the back end (not the sides) to get it to stay without sagging. you can hold it place while it dries but having a extra set of hands would probably be better.

Huh? I'm quite confused! when I installed my lip I only used the 2 "body" screws on each side. (I did this so I could remove it if I had to drive in winter as well as fog light replacement) THe sides I secured using 2 "body" scres in the front and rear and 3 rivits. THe back was orig. on w/ only the 2 "body" screws on each side which led to minor sagging in the middle which was quickly corrected with 3m tape! Good luck!
My stillen front lip went on with just some double sided tape
Stillen rear I used double sides tape and then 2 screws in each wheel well to hold it on. It's on there very tight and istn't going anywhere.

I used rivets and silicone to mount mine. I prefer rivets much better than screws because the heads are much less noticeable on the rivets. I also took some touch up paint and painted the rivets, so they are pretty invisible. I'll post pics this week of my kit I will finish putting the rear on since the body shop finally got my paint matched right.

cool... thanks for all the replies, guys...
it sounds like my best bet is to use the 3M moulding tape (the double sided gray stuff) and screw/rivet the ends (where they end in the wheel wells)...
if it sags, then possibly some type of silicon or cement...
thanks again!
