Auto Rollup Windows are partially rolling back down!?
My 2002 Maxima has a problem! When I use the auto roll up feature on the driver side the window rolls up and then partially comes back down. I talked to Nissan and they said it was a regulator. I put it in the shop and they accidently replaced the passenger side(go figure) and then went back and had the driver side replaced and they put the old passenger side one back in. Well it didn't fix the driver side and now the passenger side is doing it as well. Please someone help me!!
stupid stupid stupid dealer!!!!! i can't believe they don't know their own cars. listen, there is a reset button in the door panel for both driver's and passenger's side. all you have to do is very easy. pop open the window switch panel on the side that is giving you the issue and press the reset button.
procedure: turn key to on position, press and hold button, roll the window all the way down (note: do not use the auto feature, just roll down the regular way) and roll it all the way back up, release the button. turn the key off and turn it back on. now try the auto feature and it should work fine. i had to do it twice cause my hand was in a wierd position and finger slipped off the button. the reset button is located through the clear plastic, and towards the front and down a bit. feel around for it, and you should be able to find it.
now since both of the windows are acting like that you need to do both sides. after you are done, go back to the dealership and pimp smack them!!!!
the reason it is doing this is cause the auto feature also has a safety feature in it. if there is something in the way when you use auto up, then it stops and goes back down a bit. just reset it and let me know how it goes.
dealerships are so dumb......new regulator huh....pshhhhh

ToneG - not too sure man. you should have a window reset button also.
shoplayer01 - you might have to use a flash light. it's through the clear plastic on a small black box or something. if you feel around with your finger you'll push something in, feels like a choke button on a push lawn mower. it's about midway down the door torwards the front alittle. i don't remember if it's towards the inner door panel or towards the body shell. let me find the thread real quick where i was given these directions before, and i'll post again. be right back.......

here you go........o and my mistake, when you roll the window down, release the button, and roll up manually.....that was the part i thought i had right, but i guess you release it after you roll it down. anyways, this should help you.
