Fascinating... P0430
So the other day I filled up my tank, then I got the bright idea to put a can of SeaFoam in the fuel to see what it'd do. So I put it in, but only after I had already filled up the fuel tank.
Fast forward to yesterday... yesterday evening I was down to around 1/4 tank, so I filled it up and drove home.
This morning the SES light came on. Tried to hook up my scantool and check the codes, but it was being flaky. So this evening I gave it another try, and was able to get in. Threw a code P0430 (Catalyst system efficiency below threshold on Bank 2). Cleared it.
Time to go out and see if it comes back. I wonder if the SeaFoam could have caused that.... either by damaging the catalyst or just flooding it with crap thus fooling the O2 sensor into thinking something's wrong. If it's the former, I'm going to buy that O2 sensor simulator and say F it. I have a Y-pipe to install soon anyway.

it should have been diluted enough in the gas to not cause a problem. but ive seen some people use different fuel system and it triggered an o2 light even with seafoam going through the brake booster vacuum line. most cleared it and it never came back. i was always was under the impression that P0420 and P0430 could only be cured by nissan flashing the ecu which in some cases that didnt work and the main cat had to be replaced.
