Hey all. Has anyone else had a problem with their steering stops hitting the backing plates and making a very audible "creak" noise. I am assuming this is what the problem is, because I put the car up on a lift at work today, and lubed the backing plates and the end of the steering stop and it helped, but I know that it is just a temp solution. Does anyone know how to permanently remedy this ailment?

not yet in my maxima, but i owned 4wd SUVs & pu-trucks before i got my maxima, and that happend on all of them.

just put a drop of grease there every time you change your oil,
