Resetting keyless remotes possible?

Does anyone know if it is possible to erase all keyless remotes and start from scratch? I lost one and I bought new ones, but I no longer want the old (lost) one to work. Can anyone help... please?

If you buy a 2k2 fob from nissan, or ebay, where ever... yes. Should work with 2k3 as well.

Not sure if that same procedure works for 2k/2k1.

Not on ebay.

$30 / pair

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...937976427&rd=1

edit: $12.50 for one
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=33723

...and those are buy-it-now so you can find them cheaper if you bid in auctions.

Not 100% sure but I believe, because of the immobilizer, yes.

........and IIRC getting a key programmed is expensive.

edit: yes, done by nissan.

NOTE: Key needs to be programmed and cut by your local Nissan dealership to be operational. Contact your dealer for information.

Just straight-out erase, like so they don't work?

Try going half-way through the reprogramming process and just stopping...that might leave the fob in an unprogrammed state....might.

You don't have to go to your dealer and get raped for programming. A locksmith can do it as long as they have the programming machine.

Check this thread.

Program all the remotes twice, It will only hold 4? or 6? remotes in memory.
after that it just starts dropping off the oldest progammed remote.

Yes this procedure works on all the nissans with remotes. (except old (93) pathfinders and old (94) altimas)

I just got my new key yesterday and the dealer charged me $100 for the key and prgramming. (Chiped i know). here is the funny thing, you would think when you buy a a car you would get at least one key that opens the trunk, not me, i only got the vallet key, then was told that they gave me such a good deal that i had to buy a new key because there was no money left in the deal.

don't know how you got that conclusion but ok. No, i just bought the car from a dealership that really did not want to be helpfull on the key. I spoke to the Gm and he told me the same thing, so i bit the bullet and bought it, i could of walked out of the deal and lost the car if i wanted to be a pain, but the amount i got the car for, i can't really complain.
