I blew my O2 sensor i got a code 0135 and the autozone dude said its my heater O2 sensor. i bought my car from a nissan dealer and they said that i need to special order that part. or i get the part from infiniti (226902y920) but they want $167.00 for the damn thing anddddd 400 to install it YEA RIGHTTT
Can i do this myself and where can i get the part for a more reasonble amount because that is a ridiculous amount for a sensor. How does this affect my car? will i still be able to drive it?? the performance of the car has been crappy for the past month but the code had just come up. please anyone in the new york area knows where i can go get it done or where i can get a part please help i need advice.X thanks all

You can replace it yourself. P0135 is the bank-1 front sensor. It's the sensor with the black protective covering (the blue one is the bank-2 sensor). Make sure you use anti-sieze on the threads when you reinstall.

can you post a pic of what you are referring to...?

per autozone states that it is $50.00
dealer has it for $167.00

and also would i have to reset my engine check light?

You can either reset the ECU via a screw on the side or, when replacing the sensor, you can disconnect the battery.

after step 3 wat do i do then??? what about the part? is te 1 from autozone the same as the 1 from nissan or infiniti???? thanks for all your help
