Hi, Everyone.

I'm going to get splash guards for my Maxima and want to install them myself. My mechanic buddy thinks I'm going to have to do a bit of drilling, but Nissan's website says that installation doesn't require drilling.

Has anyone here installed their own splash guards? If so, was it as simple as Nissan says?

Thanks in advance.

IIRC, I had to dril some holes for the rear guards because there weren't any.

I believe there are holes for the front guards already.

the rear one is kinda hard to put another screw in because the wheel is blocking...I skip that one and only have 1 screw there....and another one down below...

I did mine all with only a scredriver. Just keep twisting and it'll make it's own hole. The rear can be a pain. You could always remove the wheels...

The instructions, from what I recall, are very specific as to where to drill the holes. I think there may even be helper holes in the front. I got instructions for when I swapped the stock splash guards for the factory painted variety. I didn't pay that much attention, though, since I was only replacing and not starting fresh.
