Just bought a 2000 SE. Any one know the exact terms of the break-in period? I have heard different things from various sources. Thanks.

For the first 1000 miles, dont take it past 4000 rpm and don't drive at a constant speed. The user manual has a list.

hey, congratulations dgraff, what color's the SE?
i followed advice like UMD_MaxSE (under 4k rpm, no cruise control), and changed the oil after the first 1000 miles.

BREAK-IN

I'VE BEEN DRIVING SOFT AT FIRST BUT THEN I HAVEN'T BEEN BABYIN' MY BABY, I NOW HAVE 850 MILES, AND I'VE WENT UP TO OVER 5,000 RPMS. EVERYTHING IS FINE, I ALSO HEARD THAT ONCE A WEEK I SHOULD ALMOST REDLINE, SO ALL THE VALVES OR WHAT NOT, FULLY GET THE USE.
IS THAT TRUE.??
