SES code *P0507* Idle control system RPM high

Pulled a "P0507 Idle control system RPM high" code today.
I had it reset twice ,hoping it was a fluke, but it keeps coming back. Any ideas what I should check?

The only performance mod is a PR CAI. I've had it on for almost a month with no issues. The car is a 2k2 SE 6 spd.

Thanks

One more thing

I heard there was a way to reset the computer yourself. Anyone know how to do it on an 02? I'd like to reset it as I try different things to see if it comes back.

I had that same code about 2 months ago and there is a way to reset the SES light but it will come back on unless the problem is fixed...check out www.technosquare.com for the procedure. I did that numerous times and the SES light would just come back on after I shut the engine off and on. Are you idling around 900 rpm?

I was running nitrous and my SES light came on a few hours later. I too have the PR CAI. I couldn't figure it out so I gave it to the dealer to have it looked at and they said it was a bad ECU. Got it replaced under the emissions warranty because my regular warranty was over.
Here's a list of things I checked out before I took it to the dealer that you can try:

Idle Air Controller
MAF
Vacuum lines
Fuses

Oh, you'll want to put your car back to stock if you want the warranty work done. I had to tear out my nitrous setup and intake to get the ECU replaced.
Basically don't give them any reason to deny you the warranty work. Let me know what happens. Good luck!

Thanks, I couldn't see anything visibly wrong. My idle actually seems normal. With 77 thousand on the car I had better get it checked while I'm still under the 80 thousand mile warranty.

Looks like it's off to the dealer Tomorrow. Hope this is covered under the 8/80 emissions warranty
