for all with maxspeed springs step in
im deciding if i should get these springs. ive found a great deal but ? the quality of these springs. i know about basically every spring manufacturer around but these seem to be new. i contacted golde apple products the vender today. he claims the maxspeeds are made by them not h&r's and rebadged. he did say that he would put the springs up against eibach and h&r anyday. the materals are the same as h&r and he kept comparing the maxspeeds to them. he said that they went off of h&r's r&d for the springs. now i dont know if he is full of **** or not, but i wanted a few positve or negatives about the springs. i saw that someone on the board had a dropzone spring fail and i dont need that with a child on the way. any feed back will do. thanks
p.s i have tokico hp's on the way and thought about progress springs but im worried about not being able to get up lifts since its a lower drop. thanks again.

I've had my Maxspeeds for over a year and a half on stock struts. I put them on with about 10,000 miles on the Max. No complaints about them. Ride is close to stock and about a 1.5 inch drop in the front and 1.25 in back. The struts need replacing about now, though. (at 30,000 miles) Good thing you have the hp's coming to go with them.

I too have enjoyed the Maxspeed Springs because the ride is similar to stock, cheaper than H&R, and give a modest drop. My main concern was losing the 4x4 gap in the front and not "slamming" it to the ground. If you want it slammed, these are not the springs for you. Check out housecors site http://www.innerbean.com/housecor/sp..._decision.html for more information. If I had it to do over again I would have chosen illuminas instead of the blues, but overall

right now renner motorsports has them on there sight for 78 but on ebay for 88.not bad at all. just want to see if there are any horror stories cause i see that most people on this board run them over the big brands like eibach,h&r, tein.

Hey Harmbone2k2, how is the ride on the maxspeends and HPs? I was thinking about getting this setup for a while after reading everything, how is the ride and handling. I know a lot of members use illuminas, but it seems most people run illuminas at 2f/2r which supposedly is the way the HPs are. So was wondering how do you like the ride, is it like a stock ride with better handling. Can you please describe, thank you.

I have maxspeeds + illuminas...ride is simliar to SE suspension stock (firmer over big dips, which is nice), but looks much nicer and handling is improved (and the struts are adjustable, too). No complaints with the springs or struts, very happy with them.

I've had Maxspeed's on stock struts for about 12,000 miles. The drop is pretty nice. The ride was stiffer with OEM wheels and tires but acceptable. The ride with the soft sidewall Falken 512's is actually pretty comfortable. The ride with my light weight wheels and Toyo T1's is harsh as hell.
