Bought Twelve Ignition Coils For Dirt Cheap

Paid $1.15 for each coil from this website - the site probably had an error because I can't find them for the same price I paid. Anyway, here are the details I received in a confirmation email:

Items Ordered:
Item: Electrical, Ignition system, Ignition coil, Ignition coil
Price: 1.1500
Qty: 12
Total: 13.8000

-----------------------------
Order Total: 13.8 (excluding Tax S&H)

They are being shipped via UPS and are due to arrive on the 1/21. Hopefully they're the real dealio. I was thinking about posting the great deal on org but had they realized the error on the site they probably would have cancelled my order. I'll keep you guys posted.

Nissan-Parts-Dealer.com, but I don't see the same price. It's sort of weird what happened. I did a Google search using keywords "Nissan Parts" and checked a few websites. I stumbled upon the site which listed the coils for $1.15 and thought why not buy them and see if it's the real thing? So I bought them and received the confirmation email. Then I decided to check the price through the link they provided in the email <Nissan-Parts-Dealer.com> and couldn't find the price anywhere. Maybe it's some where on the site. I would suggest navigating through the site.... You may get lucky and strike gold.

Same trick works for airlines when they post fresh fares in the early morning hours, sometimes they typo and you can get insane fares overseas or in the US.

Just curious why do you need 12 of them? I called nissan and apparently all of the coils have the same number. I bet your getting collision coils and you dont know if they are new or not.

Yes, but if they are the real deal then I can sell the others on ebay or to an org member who needs them - it's a win win situation don't you think? I bet you would have done the same. In regards to whether they are collision coils or ignition coils is yet to be known. I didn't buy them without realizing that they may infact not be ignition coils - I was thinking well if they are great, if not I didn't lose much. But on the website and on the email it did read ignition coil. I suppose we'll find out Friday.

Well, not that it wasn't a good try, but you reallie dun think that a company will send you something worth at least 50 to you for a buck. I mean no matter how big they are, when they misprint a price, they usually inform you that the price is wrong and that they will not be sending you the item, and ask you to order again. But nice try though, it would have been nice if you got the coils though.

Yup. I'm about to e-mail them and ask why I didn't get what I paid for.

Well I just emailed them and here is what I wrote:

To Nissan Auto Parts Dealer,

I'm am writing to inform you that I received the shipped items today. However, the items are not what I had purchased on the online web site. The part I purchased was the ignition coil as stated below on the receipt e-mailed to me by your company. I am not exactly sure why, but I was sent spring coil (it reads SPR-COIL part number 22468-8J115). If this was an error I would like clarification as to how and why I was sent the wrong item, and what can be done to have this corrected. Thank you for your time and effort.
