Cattman installation complete

For those of you who asked me to post when I had the entire Cattman cat-back exhaust installed, it is done. The sound is great and it feels faster. I did not feel the power increase when I installed the rear section initially (2 days ago). The power only increased after I put the B pipes in. One problem: Right now the O2 sensor is screwed in but the wires are cut. Don't ask, but all the bolts and the threads of the sensor were rusted beyond belief. I was wondering what effect, if any, that has on my engine and my performance. I thought I would get an SES light, but so far I haven't. I've only driven a couple miles with it like that, so I might get it tomorrow. For those of you who are thinking of getting the Cattman, let me know if there is anything else you would like to know. For those of you who helped me with the purchase decision and the install, thank you very much.

If you can tell me how to get sound clips on here so you can hear them I'd be glad to do it. Puppetmaster, thank you for setting crispykid straight with that pic. Does anybody know how the disconnected sensor affects my car?

i dont beleve so i think that one makes sure the cat is working properly. see if you wasting more gas. also see if you get a ses. at least then you know you can wait a while.also i see you got the 02 in plac on the new pipe? just reconnect the wirs if the sensor is still good. thats no problem. a few butt connecters and your good.

you should be fine then. solder and heat shrink are even better. the 1st o2 monitors air/fuel the second moitors that the cat works properly. good luck with the exhaust

Quick reminder... although ya already know this... there are a black, a gray, and 2 white wires... make sure ya mark one of the white wires to make sure you solder it back to the right one; I'm pretty sure it matters, if not there wouldn't be 2 of em.

Soldering those wires is a pain because those O2 sensor wires are slick (they're steel or something) and the solder doesn't catch very well... I had to twist em and then solder in between the twists to get really secure joints...

Also, make sure ya put the heat shrink on BEFORE soldering... I forgot 2 of em when I did my y-pipe, so I had to use electrical tape...

Thanks for the clip... sounds great... I do think the Cattman rear section sounds the best for our cars, provided you're into that kinda thing... yes, even over my Frankencar (I just wanted the quiet ride back)... hope you're enjoying it...

Thanks! FYI, that clip was with the entire cat-back. It sounds almost that good with just the rear section on. It has mellowed out a tiny bit since I put it on, making it just growl, it's great.

saw a videoclip of max w/ cattman headers and exhaust and it's pretty loud. Too loud for my taste.

yeah headers make it really loud. Also, cattman headers also replace the y pipe, so thats all cattman but the actual cat. Understandably loud.

93SER@comcast.net hook me up with a sound clip, do you have a ypipe and stock cat ? Or just the catback and nothing else on the exhaust side of the engine ?

So when installing a b-pipe you have to relocate O2 sensors?

No, but the sensor goes in the B pipe, so you have to take it out of the old one and put it in the new one. It just screws in, but for some reason I had to cut the wires. Havent gotten around to hooking it back up yet. It was rusted in to the threads, and it was easier to cut the wires, take the stock pipe out, then remove the sensor.
