Is this signs of MAFS going out? Car won't rev pass 5000 rpm ,rpms seem slugish getting there too, all this started happening this morning.

Here's one: http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=380552

Btw, I doubt its a MAF issue... it shouldn't go past something like 2500 rpms if it is... but there are other ways a faulty MAF can affect the car....

See my first one that went last month started out like that, then a day later the rpms were cut by half, then by the afternoon the car wouldn't even go pass 1200. But the weird thing about this i have plenty of power from 1500 to 4000 rpm, then it slowly creeps to 5000 rpm. The filter is clean, my plugs are good,etc..

Thanks for taking a stab at this though....i do have a AM600 which suppose to be a durable MAFS from the 2k2 MAFS , the one i had. I wonder if nissan maybe made it so that the Am600 Mafs is blown you can at least still drive normal under 4000 rpms. Also hard starts the car sluggishly tries to take off, if i take off normal , the car will accelerate fine till about 4000 rpm. Which puzzels me...
