Does anyone use those dorky windshield covers?

You know.. the fold up cardboard that you put in your windshield when you park your car to keep it cooler. Usually has a lame looking pair of sunglassed printed on the front.

Someone just gave me one and I actually used it at a mall today. I was surprised how much cooler the car was when I got back. I bet it'll do wonders for the dash and steering wheel in terms of extending their life.

If I didn't use one in the South Florida heat, I would burn myself on the black leather seats.

this is a good one

u just remind me one of those crappy windshield cover....
one side has the sun glasses thing
the other side says "emergency, please call 911"

one of my mom's coworker doesnt speak english too well...and doesnt understand wat it says on the 911 side.....and she faced that side out when she parked her car on the street at work.

2 hours later, she found two cops next to her car and try to figure out wat kind of emergency she has...

Ditto the comment about the reflective/silvered ones... they're a necessity in the South Texas sun, even in the spring and fall, when the temperature creeps below 90 for a day or so.

My car's parked outside all day in the Florida sun... if I didn't use one of those reflective things I think it would melt.
