Help, 'SERVICE ENGINE SOON.'

I have error code P0445 and it meanse - EVAP Canister Purge Volume Control Solenoid Valve Circuit Shorted. Anyone knows what is it or how to fix it?

Hmm a short try checking all your fuses, i think a blown fuse might cause that, or try to find skimatics of your year max and find out where the evap is located, i think it by the gas tank not sure, didnt know they still used these on modern cars.

You need a canister purge valve- they go bad fairly often. Its a cycling solenoid that starts to work after vehicle goes into closed loop mode. It likes to stick sometimes and short out- which will cause this code.

What is "canister purge valve." Where to buy it, and how can i replace it.

have you tried tightening your gas cap and resetting the ecu? I use to get a code related to EVAP but not exactly like your code....but all it is is a Ghost Code.....i just re-tighten my gas cap....resetted my ecu from the procedures in the FAQ....and they never ever came back....

i dunno if this will apply to you...but give it a shot....just throwing out suggestions
