Amp and Woofers for my new 2000 max
#1
I have 2000 max with the Bose system, I didn't like the bose woofer because it rattles when i play trance music, so I am interesting in putting 2 12" woofers and a amp in the trunk, any recommandation???

I have the same setup as you do. What i would recommend is to disconnect the Bose Sub, and have a shop run a separate amp with as many sub's you need. Me personnaly, i have a single JL audio sub, being run by an alpine V12 amp. Makes a world of a difference.

Yup
I have an amp with 1 10" running off the Bose headunit with no problem at all. I believe there is some adapter being used. One key thing i would suggest is, go to a reputable shop instead of fly by night shop. I've had cut and hack jobs done before in my previous cars. My 2 Cents

I have a kicker 360 amp with 2 solo baric 12" speakers. It rattles the whole back end of the car. Even after i spent 800 dollars to get the trunk filled with dynomat. I am disapionted. My old 96 trans am didn't rattle at all. Just be prepared for alot of rattling if you do put some woofers in your trunk.

I have a single 15" powered by 500W...
and at first I had SO MUCH rattling coming from the rear.. It did turn out to be the license plate. I thought it was the tail lamps, the trunk liner, the rear deck.. nope. it was the license plate area. Just about all the rattle is gone now... or my bass is just overpowering it now.. which is good for me.

i got dynamat put underneath the license plate. Makes a world of difference but still a lot of rattle coming from somewhere else. I also have one 15(which i'm getting rid of due to the World of Wheels Show in February), that rattles the whole car.

Put a scrap piece of mat on the licence plate first! Then, take the rear shelf piece off (the piece between the window and back seat).Notice how stiff that board is? Notice the metal below it. That's your rattling. Mat the deck and that board, bye bye rattle. Max is a great car, build is good, if you want to hear rattles, drive a pontiac.
