FSTB - Noticeable improvement?

I'd like to improve the handling (cornering) on my 2k2 and was wondering if the people that have installed one noticed a difference on its own? I can get one locally for around $50 and I don't race the car, just want better cornering.

Cheers!

the fstb is apart of the whole picture but you will not notice much of any difference. if you want something that will improve cornering, relatively inexpensive and is easy to install then look for a rsb. (rear sway bar). addco and stillen are the more popular brands. i bought my addco about 3 years ago and have been very happy with it.

does the brand on the rsb really matter?

i think fstb and rsb brands don't really matter, as i believe that both are made of same materials regardless of brand.

Per talk with Brain Catts, he said you will notice it making turns at higher speeds. He gave me a scenario. "Try merging on the freeway with a big curve at high speeds without the FSTB and then try with the bar. You will notice the difference." This is not word for word what he said, but it gives you general idea. Brands don't really matter, but I got a Cattman FSTB and Progress RSB (bought from Cattman as well).

Even if you don't notice the differenceat first you will if you take it off. Ebay FSTBs work fine.

no real difference. i know the addco is adjustable from the standpoint where you can move the bushings for a real flat ride or move then inward where the vehicle will not feel too binded in a hard corner. i went with addco because i got it for about 100 cheaper than stillen brand new.

normal driving...no you will not feel a difference. BUT emergency manuvers like I had today is a YES. The car's front end will be sturdier and have less wobble in those situation. Today, I was cruising 80mph on the highway on the 2nd lane and this **** truck driver all a sudden cuts into the lane I was in and was about to throw his rear end into my fender...I had a hardcore swerve into the next lane to avoid collision...surprisingly the car handled nicely with no hints of losing control. If the car is in stock form...NO way! I dont think the FSTB itself would help much, but combined with other stuff like rsb, good tires and lowering springs/struts...it does.

you will not notice any difference in performance... but it looks good... only at high speeds when cornering..... get the RSB and the you will feel a difference

no HUGE difference with the FSTB at first... but after you add the RSB... WOW!

Brand is no matter, we all prefer one thing or another.

I've had the FSTB (and only the FSTB) for about 5 months now, and from my personal experiances, i would say it does help, but only when in situations as others have said where high speed maneuvering is needed...just going around a slight turn, you wont notice crap...the body still pitches and rolls all over the place like the day it came from the factory..but when you're on the highway doing about 70-75 and some retard cuts across all four lanes right in front of you, and you need to swerve to avoid collision, you will definitely notice a difference....now i never had to do this before i got my FSTB, so i really can't say how the car would have acted in that situation if i didnt have it, but i really think the FSTB helped strengthen my front end up a bit, and contributed to my maintaining control of the car....even at those speeds, it seemed like my car was very well behaved, and i never once doubted its control..
