I want an ECU

So i went to a turbo shop to find out about getting them to do some work and the first thign they suggested was an AEM compnuter system which as it turns out isnt made for the VQ30 only the VE and VG30. So my question is can we get a computer for a 5th gen and which one or what can i do to beef the computer. Has anyone udes the JET V-Force? Is it worth the money?

If anyone has advice feel free to share, according the guys at CFT in orlando, with the AEM it could show anywhere from 25 to 60 HP. So it is worth looking into i think

TechnoSquare is making one for the 2k2-2k3, there is supposed to be one for 2k & 2k1 but it's taking forever to produce it. I think there is only 1 or 2 units out at this moment. Many boosted max ownerws are using G-reddy e-manage or Apexi SAFC-II. Check this out:

You gotta read man, I cant provide every answer to your questions. I think there is a little more possibilities with the G-reddy based on my own reading. As for the price check the link and find a dealer in your area. For the install cost it will depend on the number of option you buy. Reading is your best friend.

Cheers

Go back to CFT and b1tch-slap them for feeding you that b.s. Better yet, just don't go back there - since they are obviously either dishonest or they are just incompetant (either way, just as bad).

you said it yourself:
the first thign they suggested was an AEM compnuter system which as it turns out isnt made for the VQ30
if they're suggesting a component that won't WORK with your engine, do you really think they know jack **** about your car or engine? I think not.....

There is not a chip or ECU on the market that will result in significant gains for a normally-aspirated VQ30 - in fact many of these "chips" have actually LOST power in the VQ....by "significant" I mean 10-15+ hp......

Anyhow, why are you getting advice from a turbo shop, considering (from what I can tell) your car....um....doesn't HAVE a turbo

If power is what you are looking for, go with proven commodities like headers (or a y-pipe), or FI, not some "magic" chips.
