i remember reading that on the g35s when companys replaced the stock catback with aftermaket the gains were rather substantial. the stock muffler may not be that great of a performer. granted i doubt anyone would notice the difference in gaisn froma muff alone.

side note. my 00 with a warpspeed y and frankencar catback sounds very much like a 350z/g35c. just a pinch more volume and a tiny bit less raspy.

so you need headers etc for the 350 sound, how about just mufflers? if replace just the muff what is best sounding one?

i'm gonna go pick up the muffler sometime tonight or tomorrow for $60 picked up so it's not too bad...hopefully i'll get it installed next weekend and i'll get a sound clip/video up.

oh ya here's a clip/video of what i sound i want to achieve...

actually that's my car lol i love how it sounds when the car is cold that growl is so nice but seems to get quieter after the car warms up =/ so hopefully with the g35s muffler it'll give me a deeper tone than stock...

right, i understand one can get the 350 sound if you put headers and a whole new system but i just need to change my muffler. i know by just changing the muff i will not get the true 350 sound but what would be the closest or deepest sound i could get out of just a muff?

I just got a new murano and wow that exhaust is meaty. It sounds so nice. Not that loud but its a very deep growl. Anyone know if the set up of the Muranos exhaust is the same as the Z's or G35s?

ok sucks to say that the muffler won't fit...well more like it won't be aligned and stuff...the g35 sedan muffler is too fat and the right side is touching some stuff so it won't sit straight...the muffler shop guys were cool they welded everything on and let see how they sound...they do sound nicer than the stock ones...a bit more deeper and sounds pretty close to the real g35 sedans. actually i really liked how they sound too bad it wouldn't sit straight so i ended up putting my stock muffler back on haha
