using a voltmeter. unplug the connector and ck power on the pin to a good gnd.

also check your oil level.

how long ago was the recall done?

this is much easier to fix with a scan tool, but those are about the only basic checks i can think of.

Thanks....
The dealer said they dont honor third party warranties... I have one thru AAA, but he said we could work something out... He's done a lot of things out of warranty before for me! so Im keeping my fingers crossed.

check with your warranty company beforehand and see if its something you can be reimbursed for.

intake sensors?

or cam sensors?

you said you had the sensor recall done, right? wonder if you got a set of bad ones, or they put them in the wrong place (bk 1 and 2 mixed up).

how long ago did you do the recall?

P0021

Hello - I have an Infiniti 2002 I35 and the SES light came on for “P0021 Intake Valve Timing Control” I see you had that problem before. How did it get fixed? Is it expensive? What did it cost you? Is this a big deal?

I also got this code this evening. I have searched through the forum for answers but haven't seen any threads.

I have no clue what it is and what to do.

Numaxima: I am calling Nissan about my car's extended warranty (just bought the car). If it indeed has one, I am taking it in with this thread printed out for them to use as a starting point.

If anyone has had a P0021 and knows what it took to fix, please let us know.

NuMaxima: does your car have a *SLIGHT* loss of power in 5/6th at ~3200rpm that goes away at 3600rpm?
