I was on Northern Blvd (where the Cross Island exits are) stuck at a red light along with a white GS300..There's about a 3/4 mile strip of road upahead so I knew that this $hit was definitely on.
I turn my head towards his window and we end up making eye contact. Then he stares up & down at my ride, gives me a smirk and just guns it while it's still red.. Talk about being impatient.. About a second later, the light changes and I'm off about 2 cars behind.. It took a while for me to catch up but as I passed him I glanced at my speedometer and it was at 120..... Good thing there wasn't any traffic... I think he chickened out because I know I wouldn't have caught up if he maintained his maximum velocity.. I pressed my harzards & I can see him highbeaming me from behind...

He's lucky he didn't hit anyone while running the red.

Are you sure it was a GS300? They are not too fast. If he got 2 cars on you I would think it was a GS400. The GS300 has 220 hp and 220 ft lbs tq. and weighs 3638 lbs. Sure it has a 5 speed auto, but pulling like that on ya I would think it was a 400 or a modded 300.

If it was a 400, he would've never caught up.

I agree! I raced my buddy in his '98 GS400 and got my as* kicked from all speeds. He pulled two cars in just over an 1/8 mile. And try from a roll? Ya right! the GS400 pulls like crazy above 80mph. You can do short 80-140 mph bursts in that car, it is crazy. My max would take 10 minutes to get to 140 downhill.

I always thought a gs300 was faster than the Max.. I proved myself wrong... If it was a GS400, I know I couldn't of caught up with his 2 car lead.. He would,ve killed me..
I've raced a GS400 b4.. It was so funny. I'm near redline while this guy just cruises...

BTW..Hogan, I've hit 120mph on that strip with my 4th gen b4, When they had only that one camera on Douglaston Pkwy.. Besides.. It's only for redlight violators coming from the opposite direction.
Didn't know they had cameras by the golf course.
As for the cops, I was lucky..
And no traffic either..

120mph in that section ? You're freakin crazier than me.

-Peace
FYI,
The cameras have limited abilities. over 65mph There shutter speed cannot get your info. At high speed you look like a blurry lemon.
Best regars,
