Want HIDs on my 2001 Max

HEY GUYS,

I want to get HID headlights and fog lights on my 2001 max Se, I know they prolly have this thread already somewhere, i looked for it but i couldnt find it. I dont want to do that crazy retro fits with the ebay headlights, thats too much for me. If there are any conversion kits out there that are good please let me know. Any suggestions and information is highly appriciated. And again i apologize if this is some sort of repost that someone else has already asked.
Thanks again,
Ov

If you're thinking about installing the 2K2-2K3's HID's in your 2K1, good luck on finding instructions on this. Alot of members, including myself, have done this mod, but giving out a "how-to" is very touchy because of high theft. Most members like a proof of receipt and legitimacy of these lights before giving out information. As far as the fogs, are you looking for HID's as well? There are kits for the fogs which are simple to to do, with slight modification. Search the the threads, this has been done. If installing stock ones, it's really simple too, plug-n-play.

Thanks for the info. So your saying my best bet is that to buy 2k2 2k3 headlights and put them on my 01? Hmm, will they fit my car without any modification, like the size of the head light. Well i could start out with the fogs being HIDs atleast that would be a start.

I couldnt find it on the forums. I dont know, i pretty sure its there but i spent an hour looking for it. It would be nice if you could give me a link or somthing. Thanks for your help, really appriciate it.

Yes i want to get my Fog lights HID too.

The wiring harness is different b/w the 00-01 and 02-03, but not too bad to do on your own for this swap.

The other option is to buy the Ebay projectors and retrofit to HID. Look for posts by Dr. Roy, his cardomain has instructions as well as helpful people at http://www.hidplanet.com/forums

another option is to buy a d2s hid kit, a h4 hid bulb holder and slap them into your car. However you will lose your high beams. This is the setup I have

Dude look it up on ebay you can get the 2k2 2k3 headlights for like 500 bucks, wireing harness is like 40 and then you gotta get the directions, i'll sell them to you for 200 bucks. J/K you will need to find some one in your area thats on the org and then they will legitimize you, otherwise you aint get jack man. Took me like 2-3 months to get intact with people then i met up with a fellow orger that live basically down the street from me and he hooked me up and legitimized me. Good Luck

There is a Set of 02-03 HID's on Ebay for 399.00 -

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Nissa...QQcmdZViewItem

I am also highly interested in swapping them into my 00, but
I'm in Canada and I would need to get some instructions and
a wiring harness, and if getting help is as hard as some describe,
I'll simply forget about it.
