Is there a break in period for an intake?

Ok, about 2 months ago I had my Berk intake w/Apexi filter installed (thanks to my homeslice MacAlert). So, the first, say...3 weeks my car felt noticeably weaker down-low. I'd say after I drove about 5-600 miles with it, I noticed that my low-end had come back and my high-end had improved a bit, as well. So I'm curious, is there such a thing as a break in period with intakes? It's definitely not something in my head, I drive my car everyday and I can tell instantly when something feels different about it.

I guess its possible if the ECU tries to revert back to initial power readings on its own. Only a guess though, if that.

I did 4 dyno runs back to back with different intake set-ups, and each one showed a different a/f and each had their own power delivery differences .. and they were all done within ~ 1 hour ... with that said
