Remember back when they didn't make the 5th gen specific front strut tower bars how we would cut off the bracket that was in the way, so we could fit a 4th gen FSTB on? Well my mechanic just called and said that my A/C leak was caused by me removing that bracket which caused an A/C pipe to crack. I don't remember exactly how the bracket was exactly, but IIRC all it did was hold a sensor. Anyone know more about this?

So I went back later today, to find out it wasn't removing the bracket that caused the leak, but the fact that my FSTB was hitting one of the AC pipes causing it to develop a leak. They want 400 to try to repair or 700 to replace. Anyone know a less expensive way to replace this?

I just had a simliar thing happen. One of the bolts on my aftermarket intake was hitting the A/C line and made a hole. I used JB weld over the hole and it's been working for a couple of days now without any issues.
