well yesterday i scraped up the bottom of my body kit pretty bad so i wanted to lift my car to take a look at the damage...well, my 3 ton jack doesn't fit under my bumper so i always have to lift up the side w/ the stock jack first...so this time i start lifting it up and as i was going to get the 3 ton jack i hear my car making this creaking sound...i run back and put on the ebrake but that really didn't do anything...my car had started to fall but luckily it didn't fall all the way...my jack is bent and broken...the jack point is a little scrached up, but doesn't look bad...i had my friend get his jack out of his civic and that worked much better than my stock jack...that even held the car up long enough to take a look at the damage done to the front bumper...nissan is going to say some $hit like "you have the subs in the trunk so that weighed the car down or you have the body kit so that weighed the car down...and i'm guessing they won't replace my jack...what should i do? i'll probably go in there friday to check on how much it will cost for a new one...any ideas? i'm kinda ****ed here...that jack should at least be able to hold the car it was designed for

at least your car had one...

I realized months later that I never had one... or the kit. Service just shrugged it off and told me call Nissan. they were no help and assumed I made it up or something. Like that NEVER happened before. whatever. I walked over to the salesman who sold me the car and asked him. He went and got one out of a used 2k max. I asked "so, what about the poor b@stard that gets that car?" he just shrugged it off. hmmmm...

actually...

on second thought... I have put alot of trust into my jack.. that is very good info to know. I'm off to get some jack stands as soon as stores opens up again (after Mem-day). Kinda scary. I use ramps alot, but have trusted the jack a few times I guess I shouldnt have.
