Those of you with H4 Hi/Low HID's.....

Just wondering if you had the piggy backed halogen hi beams facing the outside of the car or towards the middle of the car? Do you understand what I'm saying? Say the halogen is < and the HID is *. From the front of the car do they look like:

<* *> or like *> <*

Just trying to figure out if that would have something to do with the glare issue.

The only thing I'd suggest is take pics on a flat surface with the hi's on. If the difference is negligable then don't worry about it. If one is visibly better than the other then go with that. I'm surprised they didn't design it to mount on the bottom.

<~~Bi Xenon Hi Los.

Had McCulloch Hi Los before w/ Halogen Hi beam, I remember them on top of the bulb, did nothing for me, and spent the xtra to get true bi xenon.

I've heard the mechanism in aftermarket bi-xenons are problematic.

No, after taking pics I realize the camera, on any setting, does no justice to the positives and negatives of the HIDs. It pretty much looks like everyone elses. Naturally he beam pattern have NO cutoff and looks like extremely bright halogens which naturally have glare. I haven't had any problems in the city driving so far. I'd love to install the glare shield from Casper Electronics but I'm afraid it will interfere with the hi-beam.

You have to post 15 times before you can start a new thread. If you want "privileges" like searching and viewing/posting in OT you must donate.

These rules are to keep down on spammers.

GL

Edit: Also, those HIDs you linked look like knock-offs rebadged just like all the other ones on the market.
