I live on an Air Force base, it's safe enough around here that is why it's in plain view.

is it possible to un-hook it and take it with you?

I might mount on of these in plain sight in the future....but i'm concerned about parking it a few places I go to....so is it easily detachable to take and carry with you? for example like a Head Unit face....

dam i think it is. Yea it is. But i believe taking it out resets the numbers you put in. The cord is like a 2 piece. One side that hooks directly to ecu and other side that hooks to main unit. They connect in the middle and can be disconnected. I know the SAFC I is like that, i'm pretty sure the rest are too.

That changes the VIAS rpm setting.

Yeah that is all it does

You use it to tune the AF ratio so you can make more power.

The SAFC-II you can but the VAFC-II won't reach. The cable is too short.

It actually does more than that. The SAFC-II map is a 12x2 but the VAFC-II map is 12x2x2. If you setup the Hi/Lo VTEC maps not to overlap at all you can have a full 24 rpm points to tune with (24x2). But you would also have to set the crossover (VTEC or VIAS) point to be exactly in the middle of the two 12 point maps (NE points) you set.

i would suggest the headers first then getting a dyno to check a/f to see if its worth it. in most cases it proves helpful even stock and does great after headers.

I had the headers on and then tuned with the S-AFCII. It was definitely needed.
