Catalytic Converter prices please!

After pulling a code P0430, I might have to replace one of my converters. I did an internet search and couldn't find any pricing for a 2000 maxima.

Has anybody had their converter replaced, and if so, how much did it cost?

Thanks for the info,

Bill

I believe the p0430 code refers to the bank one(front) precat which can run up to $600 from the stealer. You may want to try replacing the front o2 sensor before spending money on a new pre-cat. It may just be a sensor going bad. Also, did your car throw any other codes, and how did they decide the cat was failing?

Now is a great time to change to a Cattman y-pipe and just simulate the sensors.
If you dont want to do that... just simulate the rear sensors for less than $50 and call it a day.

Actually, I just replaced the o2 sensors a few months ago. How would I simulate the rear sensors?

Thanks

just to clarify, the p0430 code will be referenced to the precats that are integrated into the manifolds on Cali-spec maximas

this is different than the catalytic converter associated between the y-pipe and b-pipe underneath the middle of the car.
