You know there is a nitrous forum correct? As for the fuel pump, it depends on how much nitrous you plan on using (ie, what hp shot)

Good luck without blowing your motor, Dont mean to get down you throat but from what it sounds like you dont know much. I think you should read the nitrous forum a lil more, Because your talking about getting a fuel pressure regulator when you dont even have a high pressure fuel pump. You need the fuel pressure to be supplied so you dont run lean. There are few orgers who dont run high pressure fuel pumps, but they are taking risks. So its better to spend the extra hundred or 2 and save a motor from blowing that can cost a lot more. 1 step colder plugs are good, and get a high pressure fuel pump as well as a fuel pressure regulator.

A high flow FP is ~$100. Relatively cheap compared to a new motor.

I doubt you can break 12s w/ only 75 shot. 13 is reachable. 75 shot, you want 1 or 2 step colder plugs and Walbro 190 fuel pump to be safe. Invest on stronger clutch as well

still not sure why anyone would want nitrous on a maxima.

additionally..

anyone who makes a post as poorly written as that shouldn't even be allowed to drive.

Quit being a hater... if he's gonna track the car and wants a little something extra, there's nothing wrong with that. Why don't you go over to the Nitrous forum and post that as well, might as well tell those guys too.

Additionally...

Why would anyone want to track/race a maxima? I dont get it. If you wanted something to race, why would you get a sedan? The Maximas V6 is great, but i just dont get racing it.

Its a hobby that some of us enthusiasts have. Some people want to see what their daily driver can do on a drag strip, or on a road course, or auto-x, that's all. Its part of enjoying the car.

Shouldn't you be driving a Camry? That way you can take your 4-door grocery-getter out and never have anyone want to race you.

Everyone here knows that. People come to these forums to learn about mods, how to make there cars faster, how to repair them, just to have fun. Sounds like you just want to use yours for hauling around the kids and moving grocerys around. Thats fine. Does not mean others are stupid for adding a little fun to the mix. If you disagree so much, perhaps you should find another forum to post on.

When I first bought my car and it was still stock, I absolutly killed a Porsche Boxster around twisties and then at top end. I won't go into details, but my '03 SE may have the skin of a cart-puller, but it has the soul of a racehorse!

if you're running a 75 wet shot, you won't need to make any mods to the fuel system; the stock system will provide enough pressure to pump enough fuel in so that you get an optimum nitrous/fuel mixture. Dry shots are trickier in that they rely on the injectors to determine correct fueling and if you max out your injectors, then you'll blow your engine.

Dude, you'rs is slow because it's an '01. Mine is an '03. Besides, I was racing a Porsche BOXSTER. Not all Porsche's are 911 turbos.

Nice Comment I love it. Well i got a Zex nitrous Kit but only pushing 50 shot, but thats until i upgrade my fuel pump. I love that a 4 door can have some power against these other cars. Putting nitrous in a car is just about the same as putting Performance parts. why are you putting perfroamnce parts like intakes and exhausts, if its just a 4 door. orgers like to drag their maximas and make them fast or what not, but nitrous is just something you can have fun and enjoy as well as keep up with mustangs and camaros. So what if your pushing 75 shots, thats a big difference. On a 3.0L max you will be pushing almost 300 horse to the crank with a 75 shot, and on a 3.5 litre you can push 330 to the crank, and thats without other mods. So keep it Shut if you dont know what your talking about, and for those who want to learn more read the nitrous forum. Jime has a video on his homepage roasting a trans-am @ 12.1 in 1/4 in his 3.5 litre maxima. Soo booyaaa!

You know why my 1997 grocery-getter is able to pull on new S4s on the highway? - because I spray NAAAWWSSSS. IBTL.

Anyway, back on topic - even though your stock injectors' fuel pressure isn't bumped up with the wet kit, you still have to be sure that your fuel pump can flow enough fuel to supply BOTH the additional fuel that is sprayed through the nozzle AND the fuel that goes to the injectors.
