HID's light bulb?

HID's light bulb?

Hi guys,I got 2 questions .

1.Our stock OEM HId light bulb is it D2S or D2R?

2.Is it philps or Xeon?

1. D2R

2. Xenon is not a brand. It just mean that bulb is filled w/ mixutre of mostly Xenon gas along w/ other inert gases.

it's phillips as opposed to OSRAM(?), not xenon.

thinking of getting some new bulbs? what are you looking at?

I believe the stock HID D2Rs are Philips. XEON is intel's server-grade processors.

Yeah, actually these two companies are the only major manufacturers that make HID bulbs--D2R and D2S. Philips sells more than Osram, but basically they are the same.

Just make sure you buy and install the pair at the same time to avoid color shifting.

The color shift also tends to bring it up to near 5k levels after some time.

75% sure nissan uses osram.... i would go philips though. Philips does make a 6000k bulb BTW.

i was mistaken; osram = sylvania.

and phillips' bulb is a 5800K, its just marketed as 6000K (the ultinon)

You got it. Philips also sells 4100k bulbs. I've got the Ultinons and they're great.

meh, i wouldnt put anything higher than a 5300K in a vehicle.
