Just like the title says: I installed maxspeed springs in the front and now I get an occasional "loose" clunk sound when going over road imperfections. The clunk happens only on the driver's side - I checked all the bolts removed during spring installation and nothing is loose. Could it be bad swaylinks?

I had this problem from my rears and it went away in a few weeks when the springs settled in. I would give it some time if you are VERY SURE you did the install correctly. Some folks have said that they put some of the front components in backwards.

Did you install the plastic/rubber spring isolators on the maxspeeds from the stock springs on the top few coils?

The problem went away ! I jacked the front up to find the cause for the knocking. I found none, but afterwards the car did not make the noise anymore! I think lifting the car gave the spirngs an opportunity to re-settle.

It was probably not centered and when you picked it up, it moved.
