I searched, but I cant find . There is a pic out there that shows the color scale showing from IR to UV. That would pretty much end this debate.

 

Those look like 10,000k. My friend has 12,000k instead of his order for 4.3k and those are more PEACHY colored.

Trust me, it's not 30,000k... that's exactly what blacklights is, if not more! At that point, your headlight would GLOW

All the pictures he has in that auction are labeled 12K? Plus even he acknowledges "30K" as being mainly for show cars. I'm not doubting you sir, but it doesn't add up in my opinion.

What I don't understand is that when people buy HID kits, why they ever go over 8,000k which is already very blue/purple. I mean, say youaahve a 10k or 12k kit, the light is so purple that it barely lights up the road better than yellow halogens, strain your eyes at night, attract cops, and blind other drivers due to lack of projectors or HID shield. Is getting attention that important with the preceding negatives? Are people such attention ****** nowadays????

First they say they're selling 30k, then the rest of the auction talk about 12K. It's 12k bulb. You got hosed...bad.

12000K has an approximately 2100lm output, which is more than 2x the light output of the traditional halogen light. This color temperature puts out a deep bluish violet light and is deeper colored than the 10000K. It is for customer who is looking for the most extreme and most exotic looking light output. Please note: most customers have a common misconception that the higher the K (Kelvin temperature) the brighter it gets, but in fact, it is the opposite. The K rating is inversely proportional to the light output, therefore the lower the K the brighter the light output. Also, Xenon runs cooler and than your traditional halogen, therefore it will not melt your housing.

stock 2000 headlights specifically have warnings forbidding any conversion for HID, of any intensity.. thats the reason i decided to go with 2k2 headlights since the projector ones were *** ugly.
