They wouldn't be too thin because the 3.5 is basically a bored and stroked version of the 3.0. The stroke acounts for 0.3 of that increase, and the bore acounts for another 0.2.

A 3.0 with a 3.5 crank becomes 3.3, a bored 3.0 with 3.5 pistons becomes 3.2, and a 3.0 with 3.5 crank and pistons becomes 3.5.

So a 3.0 can definately handle more bore. In fact I think even with the stock crank you could get 3.7 liters out of a 3.0 block.

BTW, an intelligently modded 3.0 is by no means slow.

Only one. The consumption seems to be slowing for some reason. Probably because I keep threatening to tear down my engine.

You know you'd rather be pimpin' my engine cover over your DIY cover any day of the week. That alone is worth as much driving pleasure as a 6 speed

It always amazes me the stupidity of some of these sales people. I've been selling Nissans for 3 years now, and theres guys at my place with 20+ years that don't know what a VQ-35 is. These are also the same guys that think Nissan has never (and still doesn't) make a AWD car, let alone a RWD one......
