Hey guys, my cluster stopped working, mainly on account of me, since I have a GXE, I was thinking of going with the SE gauge cluster. Are they the ones with the white face? Just wanna make sure before I call DaveB

 

They "look" white. I'm not sure if they actually are. He will definitely know what you're talking about, though.

 

Yea, I'm almost certain they're white during the day and when the car is on they go from white to black. I'm basing this assumption off of Metal Max's cardomain page where he shows his cluster mod during the process

 

the 2000 and 2001 SE are not white at all they are like a platinum color(silver) during the day and at night they turn into a light bluish color......

 

Here's a crappy old pic. Like Lontar said, it is more silver. It doesn't "turn black," rather the digits light up.

They are actually "titanium" finished. The white face turns black at night and the black letters turn white. The silver ring around the hash marks on the outer edge of the displays turn blue. Yeah big improvment over the stock GXE and GLE guages.

My '03 Max came with the monochrome cluster and i find it a lot better than my boys '00 Max. He was just looking to do the swap also post to let us know how it went
