The unit itself was hard to find. Went to 5 different places. I ended up paying 320 with a $50 rebate.

Right...can't listen to it like a walkman and receive satellite reception...Has to be docked...and yes you can record music and live shows (H Stern) stuff like that. You can also import songs onto in like an iPod.

is the sound going through an fm modulator, or did you find a way to hard-wire it into the stock bose hu?

Right now it is going through the tape deck with the tape player adapter. I am waiting for the FM Modulators to come in, no one has them. It sounds really good through the tape player. I hope it sounds just as good through modulator

It won't! Unless you can aux it in via rca's, your next best bet would be the tape. Fm modulators sound the worst.

That is nice! I have the Starmate, mount is just a suction cup on the windshield, which isn't bad, don't have to look around to see what's playing. But...not hardwired, going over the FM frequency, ah well...you'll have to give an update on how that baby works, love Sirius, just would love it more if I had it portable

not true about the fm modulators the wired ones work very well, i have one on my stock 00 hu and it works great. i work in the car area at best buy, we only get like 5 of the s50s a week and they sell out fast, just did an install a few days ago on a 01max and we used the same mount and everything , looked really nice imo.

I have the same model as this, but mine came with a crappy window suction cup mount that broke the first day. Where did you find the mount in your picture?

i got the mount from crutchfield. you need to take apart the factory mount and use one of the pieces to make it work
