Performance Depot HID Lights on Ebay

Hi

i am plannning to get a set of these HID lights to replace my stolen ones. They are from Performance Depot (on Ebay)

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2002-...spagenameZWDVW

What are your opinions on these? Are they worth the money....and do they compare in quality with the OEMs. Are there other places to get them?

cheers, Noela

Those actually look pretty legit. I do not own a 2k2 or 2k3 but Those do not look like they have been used let alone stolen. I am no expert but the only thing to be careful about is the price. These retail for $1200 or so. Good luck either way.

I have a 2000 Maxima, and I bought those Performance Depot HIDs, installed them on my car, aimed them, and wasn't satisfied, and now Im selling them on Ebay as I actually believe my OEM halogen were better than them as crazy as that may sound. IMO I would get the OEM HIDs from Nissan, but if you do get the aftermarket ones the only thing that is quality about them are the bulbs, which are authentic Philips 4300k.

well this can also be due to the design of these headlights in general. a few people were not very satisfied with the light output of the 2002/2003 hids. from what i heard performance depot's hids are just like the stock. please don't get me wrong though... i don't care about performance depot and am not advertising for him. i don't have the 2002/2003 hids, I actually got a hid kit for my 2002 headlights. in other words i am basing all this on other people's opinions...

These are OEM replicas. Everything about them is identical to OEM Nissan. The only difference is the ballast used. Nissan uses Matsush!ta, while the replicas use Phillips. Any differences of light output not being better is all imaginary. These have the same reflector and bulb inside the housing. They're OEM equals in every way.

And Performance Depot is VERY reputable. Dozens of people here have purchased from them.

They are not exactly the same as OEM, as I have the aftermarket ones right now sitting here on my floor, and I have seen the OEM ones on 02-03 cars, and the reflector design is slightly different. The light output like others have said is probably were I felt the disappointment, it wasn't what I expected.

hids

I purchased a set of these a few weeks ago. finally today I got them installed after getting help on how to wire them up into the y2k max. think i payed 530 for mine from him. seem to look nice to me. i've cleared them and put a set of dde's into them also. look nice when they start up nice light blue color then few moments later they warm up and turn a little whiter. guess thats how hids work? maybe sooner or later i'll get differnat bulbs. like 6000k color. can any one let me know if thats what they are suppost to do in changing color. thanks. also any help on how to upload pic of them would help to. new to this stuff. thanks aaron

They are supposed to be very blue tinted when you first power on the HID xenon bulb. It has something to do with the electrical arc. As the hours of use build up on the bulb, they get more of a bluish tint.

Hello, I am also replacing the stock lights however, it is due to an accident. I have an 03 maxima and bought a pair of just regular projector headlights off ebay. I was told that you could wire these and not use the hid module. Does anyone have experience going from the hid to regular projectors. I understand the stock hids are a lot better quality however i have already gone with the regualar projectors and need to wire them to get by thanks for your help
