The VQ30det is the topic of this thread. The VQ30dett was made for the Skylines/350z's used in Le Mans and touring race events. Not specifically for the street as JGTC is an acronym for Japan Grand Touring Car which are race only versions of street legal cars with race only engines. to answer the original question in this thread: will it work? Sure, if your willing to invest the time and money to make it fit/pass US emissions standards. The engine is simmilar to the VQ30DE but with a Turbo from the factory and is used in cars outside the US as right side drivers. Direct bolt on, of course not, that can be clearly seen as a RWD application.

actually no, the race engines werent built in the factories, at least not the ones for winning teams. so they werent factory built engines. they were most likely built on an engine stand at a race shop.
