FSTB installed

Finally got the FSTB installed tonight after sitting in my kitchen for about 5 months. Its 3 in the morning so I didnt have time to get the jack stands out and do the RSB which has also been sitting in my kitchen way too long but I'm happy to report that I was able to get the FSTB on there tight and secure. With the adjustability bolts on either side of the otto bar I wasnt sure if I was going to be able to get a really tight fit but I was able to adjust it so there was absolutly no play in the bolts at all and the bar feels very secure. I went out and tried it out and told myself before I went out that I'm not going to feel any difference, but I was plesantly surprised to see that it worked as it should. It didnt make handling any better but in quick lane change type manuevers the front end did feel more solid. There was absolutly no effect on any sort of long sweeping turns where the plushy suspension, and more so the terrible stock tires still plague the car. But the tires are waiting to go on, and I should be ordering H&Rs and Illuminas within the next couple days and my car is supposed to go into the shop tomorrow to get the SFCs fabricated, but not having the car for the weekend sucks, and there are gonna be at least a few days when my parents arent going to be around and I am gonna be house locked. So expect some crazy posts when I start getting stir crazy.

you know, sometimes I do alot of engine bay work...and at times I leave the fstb off for a few days (too lazy to put it back on)....and i DO notice a difference with it off...its very noticeable if you do high speed turns...but on the medium speed ones, its not that noticeable...

a cheap and effective mod if u ask me...$30 shipped on ebay will get you one...you can't lose!

Wow, 5 months? You know it's like a 10 minute install right?

I bought the FSTB and the RSB when I was home from school on winter break. During that break I was also supposed to get my SFCs done but my engine sucked a bolt and by the time the car got out of the shop I was back in school. So I had to wait till summer break
now my car is in the shop getting SFCs fabricated, and I am about to order the springs and shocks.. I am hoping it will be a pretty sweet setup when everything is said and done

glad you have finally started modding

BTW, I also felt a difference with FSTB installed. After the install I was able to go through my "test ramp" at 43mph. 3-4 mph faster than without FSTB.

yup, i deffinately noticed a difference on expressway ramps. Then with the RSB combination I noticed great improvement. I could easily oversteer and turn too much into the turn if I didn't know how to drive. With the RSB just make sure you don't do any crazy manuevers on the curvy ramps because you will feel the oversteer, especially on stock suspension. but just wait until you get new struts and springs....it was an amazing feeling.

I was able to put it on myself in less than 20 mins (includes time to find tools). The only problem I had was to torque the nuts to 30-32 ft.-lbs. I had the guy at Midas do it in less than 5 mins. Cattman has a excellent deal on their Progress RSB, check out group deals $119 shipped!
