I was thinkin about possibly removing the black emblems from the trunk of my SE and replacing them with a chrome 'maxima' and a chrome 'SE'. But I have tint and black SE tails, so i kinda like the black theme. BUT, i think the chrome might look a little cleaner. Oh yeah, this is on a sunlit sand. Does anyone have suggestions or pics of a ride with SE tails but chrome emblems? Thanks guys.

 

i stick by the mentality that a dark car needs dark accents and a light car needs light accents. obviously there are some exceptions to the rule when done correctly, but its a good rule of thumb, IMO.

aside from telling you to debadge it entirely, i would suggest changing them to chrome, as well as getting some GLE/GXE tails instead of the blacks, to go with the lighter theme. once you change to chrome emblems, your nissan emblem is still chrome, and the black tails will just stick out, IMO.

 

I think debadged is the cleanest look but that's just me.

If you do decide to swap emblems I have the chrome MAXIMA and SE from my 02. They're in perfect shape and I'll let them go cheap.

Yeah, before when I swapped out my black SE tails and converted over the the 2k2-2k3 Euro's, I still had the smoked-out emblems on my trunk and it looked too weird because of the mismatch. I then later matched up the tails by installing all the emblems with chrome, including the smaller hamburger one. (I had it disbadged for a while, but, then again, it looked too wierd with those "two holes" in the trunk from the hamburger emblem). Here are some before and after pics. The "after" pics look much better IMO. Enjoy!
