that warning light combination always = bad alternator.

there is obviously a small leak in the sealant. Take some clear silicone and use your finger to smooth it all the way around the light where the clear part meets the back piece.

The headlight has a small "vent" on the back so the condensation should clear itself out within a couple days once you seal the housing up.

yes, the fuel filter is in the tank under the back seat.

you can't post a new thread or pm until you have 20 posts (it's an anti-spammer rule).

not sure about 1.

2. mine does this as well and has been doing it for a long time. No oil leak issues. I'm not sure if it always did it or if it's normal, but if no code is being thrown, you should be ok.

Does anyone have experience with Hawk break pads on an Automatic? I'm concerned about the break dust and squealing I have read some complain about. Most people I see that state that hawks don't produce much dust drive manual (and have the option of downshifting) while a few of the people I've seen complain about the dust drive Auto.

I just want to know if there's a definite difference since I need to buy some new pads and rotors lol

the bottom line is this:

good performance pads typically dust more
OEM or ceramic pads dust less, but don't brake as well.

depends on what you want.

can someone please give me some idea of what i need to do? my '01 max has been reving too low and shutting off when i let go of the gas pedal. recently, my idle rpm maintains at 1500 in park and neutral and 1000 in drive. i pulled up 2 codes, P0505 and P0100. although he didnt take a look at my car, a friend that works for nissan seems to think i need a new IAVC and some sort of computer part which is the reason for the MAF code. it would cost $1000 for parts alone. any ideas?

well, he needs to pull the trouble codes with an OBDII reader. Once you know the codes, you will know what the trouble is.

I wouldn't say "common," but it's not rare either.

My alternator went bad around 110k miles...

I think the side markers should match the front and rear, just like your belt should match your shoes. So if you tint the front and rears, black out the sides, if you clear the sides, clear the front and rears, or leave them alone and then you match. Ultimately, what you like is what matters.

clears only look good on a light car and stand out to much on a black car.

you need to smoke them

I've tried searching but nothing came up...here's my question

I was browsing through the great picture thread and noticed that most of your steering wheels have the nissan emblem in chrome.

I have a 2001 Maxima Se A.E. and mine dosen't have this emblem, is it an add-on or did it come only on certain models. If available, where would I be able to purchase this emblem?

Thanks in advance for your help.

I believe only 02+ come with chrome Nissan emblems, I dont think my 01, 97, or 93 SE's had them.

There have been several instances where a failed iacv has fried the ecu, however that is not always the case and you should first replace the iacv, reset the ecu, and have your local dealer download/install any consult ecu updates for your car if applicable first. And for god sakes add the damn year of your car to your avatar area so I don't have to dig through previous posts to help you........

don't waste money on buying any. Just get some black paint and paint yours. They will still shine through at night if you use light coats and then some clearcoat.

clears on a black car look retarded.

So after I got HID's installed in my fog and headlights, the climate control lights stopped working. Is there a fuse for this light or do you think the bulb is dead? Also the fog's fused blew 5 minutes after they're put in and now its fine after I put in a replacement fuse. How do i Get these lights working again? Thanks!!!

Hey, my car opener recently just began to open only the driver's door no matter how many times I replaced it. I changed the battery and I am still having the same issue. Do I need to get a new door opener?

From previous poster:

I have the same squeeky, kinda chirping noise at about 1K RPM. When I rev and RPM rises to +/- 1000 RPM I can hear a small squeak then stop...then when engine RPM drops, the same squeak at +/- 1000 RPM again. I always thought it was a trans issue, but have never noticed a difference in performance. Trans flushes have not made the chirp noise stop either.

Any advice...

Here's what you do:

go into the "members rides" section and look at their rides. Then leave a few sentences commenting on what you like and/or don't like about their setups, or ask questions. Make the comments meaningful.

note: do NOT just say "dude nice car" or lame one-liners like that. Put some thought into your response and make it worthwhile. If you just make stupid posts or worthless posts, you'll just get banned.

Do we have a reviews section? It would help us noobs not have to ask the "who has this and how do you like it?" questions
