Try disconnecting battery for an hour and see "if" it resets. Thats the easiest thing I can recommend without tearing into the cluster.

I had my oil light come on about 150 miles after my first oil change when I bought the car. It went out on it's own after an hour of driving. Did the same thing to me after the second oil change. (I bought the car used with 50,000 miles and change my oil every 3,000 miles religously)

The light would dim and then go out if I reved it past 3500 RPMs. No, my car doesn't have the oil consumption problem... yet. If that matters.

Oil light = low oil pressure.

Salt water and the connector on the LOP switch don't mix and my guess is the circuit was grounding and putting the light on..... BUT for next time as NmexMAX explained this is a LOW OIL PRESSURE light....NOT a "low oil level" light or an "oil service required" light or some such thing. If the light doesn't go out after starting, shut the engine off or if it comes on when driving then pull over, stop and shutdown the engine. And by the way driving through any water deeper than about 6 inches is just asking for problems.
