Modified Injen intake, and now I think it is the MAF
I have had the Injen intake set up normal for over a year now. I have noticed some of the symptoms of the long intake/dying MAF for about 2 months now. I changed the intake to look like this.
I do feel like there is more low end response however, I still get the hesitation around the 2.5K mark. The hesitation makes me think its the MAF. What do you guys think it could be/what should I do?

that engine cover is slowing you down
that setup makes it more like a berk/frankencar but the filter is way closer to hot air.
i have a berk and dont have that hesitation so i would say its something else (MAF, etc)

Actually I took some sand paper to it before I painted it, so actually its more aerodynamic......ok...maybe not. I took the car back out and it still was doing the slight jerk. I'm going to give it about a week them I'm calling Dave B.

I have the same hesitation problems you are talking about. It has to be the MAF. Ever since I put my cone filter intake on, about a month later I was getting the hesitation. After removing it and going back to stock, the hesitation was greatly reduced, leading me to believe that the intake was messing with the MAF. With the GAB setup, I still get heavy hesitation on cold mornings (only until I get going) and the occasional hesitation around 3-4k rpm with about 50% throttle.

I put a cold air (cosmo racing 130 can$) on and it gave me simmilar problems! I though it was my maf and nissan told me it was! they changed my maf and than told me my ecu needed to be changed! changed that to said it was fine got it back had the same problem! so i went to one of my freinds he tested it told me its my front bank o2 sensor and its easy to fix! 65$ later my car ran like a champ. THANK GOD FOR WARRANTY CAUSE NISSAN REALLY WASTED MY TIME AND ALOT OF THEY'RE MONEY!!! :-)
