HELP!! Car Barely Moves!!!!

sup guys, so basically my cousin dropped off his 00 maxima to replace the tranny (used 35k miles), and took it out for a spin. Theres another problem, the car doesnt want to move. In other words, ill press the gas pedal or floor it, and it'll only raise up to 2k rpm and start going back down, but once you start leaving the gas the rpm starts rising. Changed the TPS, checked/changed feul pump, removed CAT. opened up the airbox from throttle body. we sprayed carb. cleaner through the airbox n it revs fine, but after that its back to the same thing. Were stumped!!! i will change the MAF sensor, and all coil packs, let me know what else it could be!!!

EDIT: before and after reving, car has alot of vibration

sounds like a MAF. if you disconnect the connector, will it go limp mode and do the same thing?

its maf but you can also change coils, plugs and replace the pcv valve while you are at it.
edit: it could also be iacv.

sounds like possible MAF.. ive had those symptoms b4 and that fixed it,.. do the maf asap and see whats up,.. 100 bucks tops and takes like 20 mins for install

also,.. not sure if u know this or not so i might as well say it,.. MAF will effect the tranny in these cars like crazy,.. like to the point that you could replace the MAF and then tell him you put a new tranny in it and he wouldnt know the difference haha .. g/l

Unplug the MAF sensor plug and start the car and it should be in limp mode. The car should run better than it does now if it is the problem.

i would never do that, so yea basically when he had purchased his car, the tranny was slipping from 2nd-3rd, but the problems he has now was after we replaced the tranny. but after swapping the MAF, its running perfect.
