heard the stupidest thing today

My friend works at one of the performance shops here in san francisco, and he gives me a call and asks me if endless makes a big brake kit for the maxima. I said no and i asked why. He said that this guy wants a custom made endless 6 piston front big brake kit and 4 piston rear big brake kit for the rear for the maxima.. i started to laugh. I told him that that's stupid and he should just go with the 300zx fronts and rear or why not the AP big brake kit. It would work just as well and more efficient then going with that custom endless kit.

hahaha i started laughng.. and he said the guys a rocket scientist and makes a lot of money so money is not an issue for him. hahaha people these days.

lol. There are a couple good BBK's out for 5th gen like Brembo, AP, Stillen, as well as our very own 300zx's.

I wonder why he wouldn't settle for those?

But then again if he was a rocket scientist, he wouldn't be driving a maxima.

I suppose if he was planning to mount a rocket on his maxima he may need 6 piston breaks to stop that beast. Maybe he knows something we don't...

D2's work well if you can figure them out. Pretty tough to get dialed in. I know because I've spent a year getting mine dialed in properly. Now she rides pretty good.

BTW: 6th gen rotors and calipers ARE Brembo. Nissan buys them from the factory without badgeing. Just a lil' FYI.

Lil' FYI...no they aren't.

OEM 6th gen rotors are made by Kiriu, a japanese company. Nissan buys them from Kiriu without badging.
